Skin cells are sloughed 24 hours per day. If there is a history of skin inflammation or hyperactive cell production or sloughing, areas of flaky skin can occur. Watch the area for repeated occurrences. If there is a pattern,or you notice redness, itchiness or other symptoms talk to your personal Dr or a dermatologist for a work up.
