if your Dr has prescribed anti-hypertensive medications for you, due to consistently high blood pressure, they should start to work within the first week of taking them regularly. Keep daily records of Blood pressure readings at wakeup, during the day and in the evening. If you notice them going down the medication is working. If not, consult with your Dr regarding changing the dosage.
