Moderate Interaction: There is a moderate interaction when taking citalopram and propranolol. The effects of Propranolol may be increased. A lower than normal dose of Propranolol may be indicated. Irregular heart beats, shortness of breath, dizziness, weakness or fainting could occur. One must work closely with their physician when using this combination of medications.
