Do you have a family history of hemochromatosis? Your symptoms are suggestive of this disorder. Because of years of menstrual bleeding & from pregnancies this disorder in women doesn't show up until later in life. Anemia is not common in hemochromatosis but can occur. A hematologist is best to evaluate & advise you. Does negative HFE exclude hereditary iron load disorder or types of hemochromatos

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your symptoms are more likely due to your perimenopausal state and you should consult a gynecologist. Wish you good health!
