Antibiotics will kill off any susceptible bacteria which can leave behind germs not affected by antibiotics. Keflex does not kill off yeast, or cause a yeast infection, but its use can allow yeast to gain access to areas they would not otherwise thrive. Yeast is a natural germ in the poop. If the kid is getting a vaginal yeast infection it is from stool contamination.
