Yes, also can try...: Yes, it is safe to use Vit. E oil directly and it will not cause an infection, but there are better options. I recommend calendula in olive oil, available at most health food stores. Another good option is argan oil, a popular skin moisturizer. You may also want to take essential fatty acids like fish oil, hemp seed oil and evening primrose oil by mouth.
