A member asked:

We agreed to go to a wedding this summer. we were thinking things would be more calm with covid or our kids be vaccinated by now. they're not so i'm nervous going to any bridal shower/bachelorette or wedding. chances of getting covid at outside event?

Depends. If you are confident that all the attendees are vaccinated, it is not a closed space, people are not crowded and wear a mask you can take a chance if you really have to go. If not skip it till after the Kids are vaccinated- and then with all the above precautions.

Maintain distancing outdoors, wear masks and use hand washing and sanitizer to reduce the chance of infection. The children are eligible for their vaccinations at the age of 6 months. Home test kits are available and consider suggesting that attendees have a test on the day of the event and exclude any attendees with symptoms, including cough and fever.
