A member asked:

I would like to know what "transmitral filling pattern with wave fusion" means in an echocardiogram. the heart rate was 120bpm. the test was performed because of arrhytmias and tachycardia?

This describes normal blood filling and flow across the mitral valve and the wave fusion would be secondary to the tachycardia. The wave forms crowd together when the rate increases.

I am not certain what that means in Spain. Discuss with local echocardiographer/Dr. Do you have history of rheumatic fever as child?
