Follow the instructions on the prescriptions because these three meds can be taken at the same time but may be on different schedules. Azithromycin is an antibiotic usually written to take once/day for 5 days. Prednisone can also be once a day but can also be prescribed 2 or 3 times a day in divided doses. The promethazine is for nausea and should only be taken if she's vomiting.

The medications may be taken at the same time according to prescription directions. A chest image is recommended, if she is improving on the medications. Nasal saline is often effective at reducing post nasal drip. If there is a dry cough and wheezing, an inhaled treatment to treat bronchospasm is often effective. Watch for signs of vomiting, coughing fits and fever.
