Sounds like this might be a folliculitis, caused by either a common bacteria or yeast. See your dermatologist for confirmation and treatment with appropriate cleansers and creams.

Description sounds like inflammation of the follicles in the armpit (typical place) Your doctor will recommend hygiene and likely an antibiotic. This can be stubborn and you will want help.
