What does it mean if you get severe heartburn and acid reflux at 17 but the acid reflux come before the heart burn?

Heartburn is the common and colloquial term for acid reflux so it is the same thing. Not sure what you mean when you say the reflux comes before the heart burn unless you are saying the sensation of refluxing comes before the actual burning which I suppose can happen but does not mean much or should be any worry.
