Your statement is not logic. You can't get dehydrated if you drink more than what you void and you do not lose fluid anywhere else such as severe vomit, severe diarrhea or heavy sweating. If your kidney function is normal, urine will be maximally concentrated with low volume & dark color when you are thirsty due to high sodium in your blood because you do not drink enough fluid.

You may wish to have your urine tested. Though if you drink enough water, it will make your urine colorless. Try doubling your water intake at bed time. Wish you good health!

Everyone 'dehydrates' a little for we dont drink any thing while asleep, so the AM urine is concentrated. There are many reasons to wake up thirsty in the AM. , lack of water intake before going to bed, mouth breathing etc. Drink water before you go to bed Keep a glass of water at bedside, drink if you wake up at night. If it persists get checked and have a urine exam. I think you will be fine

While most commonly dark urine is related to poor hydration, there are other causes for dark urine. Would suggest having your morning urine checked with the help of your primary care doc.
