Hello. i have question about my igg hsv2 test results. the number i received is .91. i am a little concerned since i have been practicing abstinence my whole life. is this something i should be worried about? my igg hsv1 result was .69?

People who are positive for hsv1 may cross react and have a false positive for hsv2. Since you've never had sexual exposure to anyone, your result may be a false positive. Perhaps you could repeat the test in the future at a different laboratory.

This is a borderline HSV2 IgG result, but almost certainly you do not have HSV2. Officially the result is negative if below 0.9, positive with results above 1.1 -- and most true positive results are 3.0 or higher. Your HSV1 result is negative. If you repeat the test, most likely the HSV2 result will be lower.
