Wore cast on both legs (from toes to knees) 3 years ago, now the area can't get sun tan. rest of the body is much darker than legs. can you explain why, because i dont underastand? can i fix it? thank you in advance doctor?

I would assume you have the condition called contact leukoderma. The cast could destroy or lower the number of skin pigment cells (melanocytes) upon prolonged contact. Or another possibility the cast prevents UV light stimulation on the melanocytes and these cells somehow regress just in several months and do not reproduce the numbers after you are off the casts. Treatment is likely unavailable.
