Im getting antbiotics thru iv. there is dried blood inside the line . do they have to remove it? i have the line closed until next round tomorrow?

As long as the tube is open enough to allow fluid to flow through it they do not need to remove any dried blood. What you may see is usually a stain that attached inside the tubing. It would not break off and cause a stroke or other bad problem. If the blood blocks the tube completely they start another IV.

In addition to Dr.F's answer,I wish to add that infection isn't an issue as the IV tubing is a closed sterile system and the dried blood.isn't carrying infection.
