A member asked:

H.pyroli infection get reoccure, how to i take retest after taking 14 days of antibiotics, when i recheck blood or stool test, which test is correct?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Stool antigen test: Blood test can show if you have been exposed to the infection (your blood will have antibodies to the bacteria) but does not necessarily indicate if you currently have an active infection. The stool test will show if you have in your stool specific components of these microorganisms (antigens) and thus is more diagnostic of current infection
