I strained my hamstring and started playing soccer again in the 3rd week of the injury. i felt as if i was able to play. my hamstring hurts a little bit more now when running, jumping, etc. but it's only slightly worse. did i prolong the recovery?

You are young and still probably growing. You need to respect this injury. You need to learn how to stretch properly. How to strengthen the muscle as well. This can become a chronic condition with stretching on a regular basis along with strengthening. Common among men. You will need to make this a regular and on going activity.
