Geographic tongue keeps reappearing on or near the same area, along with other areas the last couple of times i had it. it went away a few week ago but i can still see where it was its still lighter than other areas of the tongue is this normal ?

This is of unknown etiology and untreatable. The filiform papillae[tast buds] are missing but the fungiform papillae are present. It looks like bald spots on tongue that are white and come and go on different spots of the tongue. They appear and disappear often. Sometimes vit-b complex is administered. This is normal for many and no problems exist.
