See DDS or ENT: There are a number of possibilities so you need to have a knowledgable professional examine you and make the diagnosis. It may just be pigment, or a pool ol blood vessels.

Coated tongue?: It' probably a coating on your tongue and could be related to many factors. In order to get it diagnosed accurately, you will need to see a dentist (or oral surgeon) who may refer you to a physician (or ENT specialist) depending upon his\her findings.
