A member asked:

My son had a small petechiae rash on his ankle. his dr did a cbc w/ diff and it was completely normal. i noticed today that he still has the rash (mostly better) but now he has more petechiae slightly above the original rash. what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

petechiae is from bleeding and rash is from local inflammation. It is best that he be seen by a Dermatologist for proper diagnosis and management.
