Rash may be from sun: This type of rash can occur from chronic sun exposure. Severe vitamin C deficiency, disorders of platelet function and some drug reactions can also cause this. There are also other skin conditions that look like petechiae. If it persists, having a dermatologist evaluate would be my advice
