A member asked:

Hello, my monocytes % is 10.5 for the first time. also, have low hemoglobin/hematocrit/mch/mchc/red blood cells (these all decreased even more since my last blood test in march). should i be concerned at all?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, you may have iron deficiency and should take iron and vitamin supplements. Monocyte per se is not a cause for concern. Wish you good health!
