A member asked:

For the past few years ive had horrible abdominal pain when i run (not every run). they feel very similar to severe menstrual cramps. they ramp up halfway through the run and sometimes make me throw up. im not sure how to prevent this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Reduce the intensity of your exercise to about 80% of the rigor you are doing now. If you still get pain, further reduce the speed of the run. Once you find the optimum speed, stay with it and very gradually increase it so that your system makes an adaptation. Drink enough water so that your urine is mostly colorless. Wish you good health!
