A member asked:

Ttg iga - 9.45 u/ml is normal or not because i seen somewhere that normal ttg antibodies are not present?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A transglutaminase level of "9.45 u.ml" is a "weak positive" which allows some production of antibodies to the bonds between protein, and can dispose to celiac disease. It is appropriate to reduce the gluten in diet to lessen the problems related to celiac disease. Consult with a GI physician is recommended.
