Not really: Timing of doses depends on the person. Some find zoloft (sertraline) a bit sedating, and prefer to take it at bedtime. Others for whom it is activating, take it in the morning. Pick a time each day that suits you best.

No: Zoloft (sertraline) stays in your system for ~24 hours, so it doesn't matter when you take it. It is best to take it at the same time consistently. At higher does (150-200mg) it can be mildly activating and to not interfere with your sleep it can be best to take first thing in the morning.

Zoloft (sertraline): I recommend taking it the same time every date with food.
