This is a bit grim but is it normal for poo too smell strong after bad constipation i had surgery 8 days ago and its given me severe constipation and when i just went now the poo got stuck and it took a while for it to finally come through?

The off gassing of feces (smell) will depend on the germ action on the debris as it transits the gut. More gas=more time inside. I wouldn't lose any sleep over this as it should pass as you become regular.

For constipation - : You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods.
