Tongue sym. burning, irritation top & bottom, white patches one side, duration about 1 year. consulted w/ dentist x 2, family dr. oncologist (wearing masks). tongue not examined. rx so far...biotene rinse, fungus lozenger. dr. best to see?

This could be LEUKOPLAKIA, a white lesion that is premalignant. Best see an oral surgeon for a biopsy and treatment.

I am concerned that after multiple examinations your tongue has not been physically examined. You may be suffering from a number of different issues, including burning mouth syndrome. My recommendation is to see a hospital based oral pathologist, someone who specializes in disorders of the mouth.
