Requires evaluation: It would be helpful to know why the Oral Surgeon would make such a statement. Was there evidence on the examination? Abnormal sensations on the tongue can originate from irritation of lower cranial nerves but would require evaluation prior to making conclusions in any type of statement. It would require imaging studies and examination
