You are cautioned not to eat/drink for hours prior to getting put under anesthesia because the process has that risk. Using drugs to put you under removes some of the natural reflexes that prevent regurgitation when they put the tube in. When you go to sleep naturally after a meal the natural safeguards are preserved. I wouldn't worry about it.
