Severe fungal nail infection (whole nail affected) on 4 toes. gp is reluctant to prescribe tablets. otc nail treatment paint/ cream says "don't use on severe nail infection" - is that because it can make it worse? want to try it but not if it's risky?

This disclosure is to cover for the fact of its ineffectiveness on severe infection. You can try it and if it fails tell your MdD so she/he can prescribe the proper med. Or you can see a Podiatrist.
