Toenail infection: When there is a fungal infection in the toenail, they become thickened,discolored.The most effective treatment is oral medication prescribed by your primary doctor for period of approximately 6 weeks.Topical creams and solutions are not as effective. I would recommend that you see your primary doctor To assess and give a prescription.
