Can you tell me how much radiation is used on a diagnostic 3d mammogram? i do not mean the general screening with two images, which ive read is 0.4 msv. i was wondering how much radiation is in diagnostic since it takes more images. thank you?

The simple answer: it varies depending on machine. There are many factors associated with cancer developing from ionizing radiation. Age, general health, location and other illnesses can affect how your body clears the damage from ionizing radiation. That said, remember that the average person receives 3 mSv of radiation each year just from their natural surroundings with no increased cancer risk.
