A tech pressed very hard on the rib under the l side of my l breast in an echo-stress test.have had pain/bruise there (41/2 months).my pcp wants me to have a diagnostic mammogram.does this mammogram need more radiation/views than screening mammogram?

Mammogram: A diagnostic mammogram is essentially an xray of the breast and does involve multiple views and angles. These are usually done if the screening mammogram is abnormal or if pathology is found during a physical breast examination.
