Hello. when i lay on my back usually at the end of the day as soon as i lay down i get chest pain in my left side like at the bottom corner of my lung and i cant take deep breaths without severe pain. any help would be greatly appreciated?

Severe pain with deep inspiration is quite abnormal but I wonder how it only happens on supine position. I strongly suspect this pain originating from rib cage or spine rather than from the left lung but a physical exam +/- chest X-ray are required.

Although this could be pleuritc pain, I too would find the posture issue to likely rule out Lung pain. Would consider musculoskeletal mechanisms such as rib or intercostal muscle. An exam by your doctor will reveal answers
