If you're referring to edematous mucosa, it is swelling of the lining of various organs such as nasal membrane, intestinal lining,stomach lining,etc

Edematous means when something is swollen with fluid. Mucus is a secretion by certain glands. By themselves they dont mean any thing but if it is membrane after mucus then it means the lining surface is swollen
