There shouldn't be any worry anyway. Almost everybody gets genital HPV at least once so you can assume you have been infected. HPV DNA can persist for life, and testing can remain negative while DNA persists. But reactivated infection is uncommon and most people never get important health problems. Just follow standard pap smear advice then forget about HPV. Discuss with your gyn. Good luck.
