How long should i wait after taking a shower to insert ear plugs? or can i do it immediately as long as ears feel dry?

Ear plugs are made of porous foam and as such can absorb not only moisture but cerumen which is produced in the ear canal daily. After a shower, cerumen can be softer and more liquidy. Try cleaning your ears with tissue or an ear swab to remove as much cerumen as possible, then insert the earplugs.
