I bruised my calf a week ago. im mostly pain free but when i flex my calf, touch it or try to run it still hurts. how long will it take to resolve and when can i get back to playing sports?

At this stage of your injury the best way to approach it is what we call ice massage. You freeze a cup of water and you massage your calf for 15 minutes until numb. You must tear the cup to expose the ice. Then you stretch it in the morning. In the evening you stretch and then you put ice on it for 15 minutes.
