Cyst or Strain: First of all lay off the exercise and see your doctor for an exam. Possibilities include a strained muscle or ligament. Another possibility may be a ruptured cyst which is behind the knee, called a Baker's cyst. Either way you need to be examined to get a true diagnosis.
