A member asked:

After i eat breakfast everyday, this intense pain will come from my stomach, it's one of the worst pains i've ever experienced. i'm getting it checked out soon, but why not ask online? i've been diagnosed with gerd, could that be a part of it??

Although it's not common in adults, such intense pain in the middle of the upper abdomen may be caused by spasm of the pyloric sphincter( pylorospasm) in the outlet of the stomach. Irritable bowel syndrome usually causes lower abdominal cramps.& urgent loose bowel movements after eating. Consult a gastroenterologist for an opinion. Taking an antispasmodic like dicyclomine before breakfast may help
