1mth post pe and on 20mg xarelto per day. if i get covid what cold and flu can i take with xarelto that will not interfere? am i at risk of another pe or get sicker than normal person as recovering from pe? can i have a other clot?

Continue with Xarelto as per your physician's recommendation. Obtain a COVID-19 PCR test if symptoms occur, and if respiratory difficulties occur, go to an emergency room or see your physician who treated your PE.

Please have a COVID 19 vaccination and booster, avoid ill individuals and wear a mask when around others. The over the counter cough preparations are often not very helpful and associated with potential side effects. The Xarelto will reduce your risk, but there is still a risk of recurrent PE. Use nasal saline rinses as needed for cold symptoms.
