I have been diagnosed with mild chronic gastritis via endoscopic biopsy. is it possible for this to take weeks to resolve? still having symptoms a month after an acute flare up and indigestion led to this diagnosis?

I assume you do not have H. pylori with biopsy but you do not tell us what medication(s) you have been taking. You need treatment for a total of 2 months for chronic gastritis with exacerbation. Treatment for H.pylori related gastritis is different.
