If you are healing good and no pain or open wound or bleeding, than you can almost eat anything. What ever type of protein or any food you eat, make sure you rinse your mouth immediately after so food particles don't get into opening no matter how small it is. Always follow the post operative instructions given you.

6 days after surgery you should be able to eat most anything you want. If you are still having anything other than mild pain, you might have a dry socket. Most of my patients are cleared to eat anything they want by this time.

By day 6 if stitches are out and holes are filling uneventfully, you should be able to eat almost anything. Start with soft protein such as tuna or egg salad, scrambled eggs, Mac n Cheese, pudding, ice cream, etc.
