Two out of three of the following criteria (Rotterdam criteria) are required to make the diagnosis of PCOS : 1-Oligo- and/or anovulation. 2-Clinical and/or biochemical signs of hyperandrogenism. 3-Polycystic ovaries (by ultrasound). With these criteria, you can see overweight is not a criteria for diagnosing PCOS.
