Doctor say i have cystic ovaries, is that why my period is irregular? if so, how do i tell when my period is delayed/ irregular due to this or when theres some thing wrong with my body that is pcos unrelated? im underweight, no diabetes?

Ovarian cysts do not cause irregular periods but are more common when periods are irregular. The presence of cysts does not necessarily mean you have PCOS. Being underweight could definitely cause irregular periods and sometimes cause them to completely stop.
