"itis" just means inflamed so treatment varies with the cause. If the doc suspects bacteria, there are many antibiotic choices. If allergic, there are a couple antihistamine eye drops (PADADAY) , but a simple eye lubricant may help. If viral, they self heal but an eye doc might use a steroid eye drop if they were sure it wasn't contraindicated.
