Multiple Sclerosis: If your family physician is not available and open to working up your concerns then the next place to go is the neurologist or neurology clinic. They will know what to do as far as testing and scanning will be concerned.

How to Diagnose MS: When it is time to consider MS, ideally visit with a neurologist, especially one that specifically handles MS. You should expect them to interview you about your symptoms in depth, perform a detailed physical exam, and if they think it is possible, they would order an MRI of the brain, the cervical spine (neck), a spinal tap, or all of the above. This is the information used to make the Dx.
