Does nutcracker phenomenon automatically progress to nutcrakcer syndrome? im asymptomatic with nutcracker phenomenon. md said its possible but is that correct? need others advice?

If you dont have any symptoms and it is only a finding then there is a good chance you will be OK as your MD suggested. No need to worry- stay with regular follow up visits. Good luck.

I wonder how this rare and not well understood syndrome came to be diagnosed in your case. You don't describe your symptoms. BIf this is an accurate diagnosis I imagine you'd be evaluated & followed at an university hospital. As I understand it, treatment and long-term results in this rare disorder are nebulous.

The entrapment of the left renal vein might be mild, and it might be more severe. It merits consultations with a nephrologist (kidney specialist) and a vascular specialist (a surgeon or cardiologist trained to assess the blood vessels). These doctors should work as a team to determine whether or not a procedure should be done to relieve the blood flow obstruction.
