Alprazolam is a restricted medication so I wonder how you have gotten this drug without seeing a doctor for that long time. You just have to see a doctor for the appropriate guidance.

.i think a slow taper versus a very slow taper would be ok in your case. Take 1 mg & alternate 0'5 mg every other night for a week. If no problem, then 1 mg followed by 0.5 mg the next 2 nights for a week. If ok, take 1 mg followed by 0.5 mg the next 3 nights & so on until you reach 1 mg once & 0.5 6 nights. Proceed to 0.5 mgs nightly,then 0.5 every other night for a week. Then 0.5 mg every 3rd ni
