8 year old with what looks like an ulcer inside mouth on bottom lip. been there for 3 weeks. blistered then burst now looks white. not getting worse but not going. need for concern? not bothering child at all. how should i treat?

What you described suggest a mucocele, a small salivary gland with a blocked duct. If it is not bothering the child, leave it alone. If it recurs you may consult an ENT or a dentist.

This could also have been an aphthous ulcer or canker sore, which is now healing. Many lesions in the mouth are white while healing. If there is no pain and it is not affecting the chid’s eating or drinking, it is not concerning. If it redevelops and is painful, have the child’s doctor take a look.
